DESCRIPTION:

The Vertiv Geist GU30017L is an intelligent switched outlet-level rack power distribution unit (rPDU) designed to provide reliable power distribution, outlet-level monitoring, and remote outlet control for data centres, telecommunications facilities, network cabinets, and critical IT environments. The unit combines advanced power management functionality with high-density outlet configurations to support modern infrastructure deployments.

Operating at 230 V and 32 A with a maximum load capacity of 7.3 kW, the GU30017L features twenty locking IEC C13 outlets and four locking IEC C19 outlets. Individual outlet switching allows administrators to remotely reboot connected equipment, manage power sequencing, and optimise power utilisation across critical systems.

The unit provides outlet-level power monitoring, allowing users to measure kWh, W, VA, power factor, voltage, and current at individual outlets. Additional monitoring functions include input power measurement, branch circuit monitoring, breaker current monitoring, and environmental monitoring through optional sensors.

Built on the Vertiv Geist Upgradeable platform, the GU30017L supports hot-swappable monitoring technology and network connectivity features including daisy-chain Ethernet communication, allowing multiple devices to be managed through a simplified infrastructure architecture.

The vertical 0U form factor maximises rack space utilisation while providing utility-grade reliability for enterprise IT, colocation facilities, edge computing deployments, and mission-critical infrastructure applications.
