The FLIR DM166 Thermal Imaging TRMS Multimeter combines a professional True RMS digital multimeter with an integrated thermal imaging camera, enabling technicians to safely identify electrical faults and temperature anomalies before making contact measurements. The instrument is designed for electricians, maintenance engineers, automation specialists, industrial technicians, and HVAC professionals who require both electrical testing and thermal diagnostics in a single handheld device.

Powered by FLIR's Infrared Guided Measurement (IGM™) technology, the built-in 80 × 60 thermal imager helps users quickly locate hot spots, overloaded circuits, failing components, loose connections, and overheating equipment. Thermal imaging allows faster troubleshooting while improving safety when working around energized systems.

The DM166 provides full True RMS multimeter functionality including AC/DC voltage, AC/DC current, resistance, continuity, capacitance, frequency, diode testing, non-contact voltage detection, and variable frequency drive (VFD) measurement capability. The integrated thermal camera features selectable colour palettes and fixed-focus operation for rapid fault identification.

Designed for demanding field environments, the meter is rated CAT III 600 V and CAT IV 300 V and provides the performance required for both low-voltage and industrial electrical applications.
