The Bird ACMI-L0-NFNFNL Antenna & Cable Monitor is a network-enabled RF monitoring system designed for continuous supervision of antenna systems, transmission lines, combiners, and critical RF infrastructure. The unit is engineered to identify antenna and feeder faults that may not be detected by transmitter-based VSWR protection systems while providing accurate in-line RF power monitoring capability.
The monitor continuously measures forward power, reflected power, Voltage Standing Wave Ratio (VSWR), and return loss, providing early warning of developing transmission system issues before they result in service interruptions or equipment damage. The system supports alarm generation for excessive VSWR conditions and abnormal power levels, enabling proactive maintenance of mission-critical RF communications infrastructure.
The ACMI platform incorporates Ethernet connectivity for remote monitoring and configuration through a web-based interface. Integrated alarm outputs support network management systems, remote telemetry, site monitoring systems, and maintenance notification workflows. The monitor includes analog outputs for forward and reflected power measurement together with relay alarm contacts and TTL alarm interfaces.
The ACMI-L0-NFNFNL configuration features N Female RF input and output connectors together with N Female monitor ports and is designed for 50 ohm RF transmission systems. The low-voltage model operates from a nominal 12 VDC supply with an operating range of 9 to 18 VDC.
Designed for continuous 24/7 deployment, the ACMI-L0-NFNFNL is suitable for land mobile radio systems, public safety networks, broadcast facilities, utility communications systems, transportation networks, telecommunications sites, and other critical RF infrastructures requiring continuous antenna and transmission line health monitoring.
