DESCRIPTION:

The Bird 4715-000 is a precision 50 ohm Thruline® RF line section designed for insertion between an RF transmitter and an antenna system or RF load. The unit forms part of Bird's high-power RF measurement system and provides a permanent installation point for Bird Plug-In Elements, allowing accurate monitoring of RF power in transmission systems.

Featuring a 1-5/8 inch EIA flanged rigid line configuration, the 4715-000 is commonly used in broadcast transmission facilities, telecommunications infrastructure, military communications systems, RF test installations, and other high-power RF environments where continuous power monitoring is required.

The line section incorporates two element sockets, enabling simultaneous measurement of forward and reflected power when fitted with the appropriate Bird Plug-In Elements. This allows engineers to monitor transmitter output power and system match conditions in real time while maintaining the integrity of the RF transmission path. Plug-In Elements are selected separately according to the required frequency and power range.
