The Rohde & Schwarz UDS500-G is a 5.5-digit True RMS digital multimeter designed for laboratory, educational, production, and automated test environments. Featuring USB, LAN, and GPIB connectivity, the instrument provides accurate voltage, current, resistance, capacitance, frequency, temperature, continuity, and diode measurements in a compact bench-top format.

DESCRIPTION:

The Rohde & Schwarz UDS500-G is a professional 5.5-digit digital multimeter developed for engineers, technicians, educators, and production test environments requiring reliable and accurate electrical measurements. As part of the R&S Essentials portfolio, the UDS500-G combines modern connectivity, intuitive operation, and comprehensive measurement functionality within a compact bench-top instrument.

The instrument supports twelve primary measurement functions including DC voltage, AC voltage, DC current, AC current, resistance, 4-wire resistance, capacitance, frequency, continuity, diode testing, temperature measurement, and power calculations. True RMS measurement capability ensures accurate readings on complex waveforms encountered in modern electronic systems.

A large 3.5-inch colour display can simultaneously show up to three measurement values, improving productivity during troubleshooting, validation, and production testing. Integrated mathematical and statistical functions provide Min/Max analysis, averaging, limit testing, offset calculations, dB, dBm, and DC power measurements without requiring external software.

The UDS500-G offers a basic DC accuracy of 0.015% and measurement rates of up to 200 readings per second. Auto-ranging and manual-ranging modes allow users to optimise measurement speed and accuracy according to the application. Four-wire resistance measurement capability enables precise low-resistance measurements for component and cable testing.

For automated test systems, the instrument includes USB, LAN, and GPIB interfaces. SCPI command compatibility simplifies integration into existing test platforms and provides a straightforward migration path for users replacing older bench multimeters.

The compact design, fast measurement capability, and broad functionality make the UDS500-G suitable for electronics development, manufacturing, quality assurance, calibration, repair, and educational applications.
