The Rohde & Schwarz RTH1014 is a rugged four-channel handheld oscilloscope with 100 MHz bandwidth, fully isolated inputs, and battery-powered operation. Designed for industrial maintenance, power electronics, field service, automotive diagnostics, and embedded system troubleshooting, it combines oscilloscope, protocol analysis, logic analysis, spectrum analysis, and data logging capabilities within a portable field-ready platform.

DESCRIPTION:

The Rohde & Schwarz RTH1014 is a professional four-channel handheld oscilloscope within the RTH Scope Rider family, providing 100 MHz bandwidth and four fully isolated input channels for safe measurements in industrial, electrical, and field service environments. Combining laboratory-grade oscilloscope performance with rugged portable operation, the instrument is ideally suited for engineers and technicians working on complex electronic and electrical systems.

The fully isolated channel architecture allows safe floating measurements on power converters, industrial automation systems, motor drives, switchgear, renewable energy installations, and embedded electronics. Each channel is galvanically isolated, eliminating many of the grounding limitations associated with conventional bench oscilloscopes and significantly improving measurement flexibility in real-world environments.

With a maximum real-time sampling rate of up to 5 GSa/s and 10-bit analog-to-digital conversion, the RTH1014 delivers excellent waveform fidelity and signal resolution. Deep acquisition memory enables detailed capture of long-duration events while preserving the ability to analyse fast transients, switching behaviour, and intermittent faults.

The rugged portable design features a bright 7-inch capacitive touchscreen combined with dedicated hardware controls for efficient operation in laboratory, workshop, and field conditions. The instrument is designed for operation in demanding industrial environments and provides battery-powered portability for applications where mains power is unavailable.

The four-channel architecture is particularly valuable when analysing complex systems involving multiple signals, control loops, communication buses, power stages, and synchronised events. Optional upgrades add protocol triggering and decoding, mixed-signal analysis, logic channels, spectrum analysis, harmonic analysis, advanced triggering functions, and wireless connectivity.

With CAT IV 600 V and CAT III 1000 V safety ratings, the RTH1014 is suitable for measurements on industrial electrical installations, power electronics, renewable energy systems, and maintenance applications requiring both portability and measurement safety.
