DESCRIPTION:

The Rohde & Schwarz FSC-P3 is a factory-installed tracking generator option designed for the FSC Series compact spectrum analyzers. By adding a synchronized RF source to the analyzer, the FSC-P3 enables scalar transmission measurements and frequency response analysis across the instrument's operating frequency range.

The tracking generator output follows the analyzer sweep frequency, allowing engineers and technicians to evaluate the performance of RF components such as filters, attenuators, amplifiers, duplexers, combiners, splitters, cables, antennas, and passive network devices. This capability effectively transforms the FSC analyzer into a compact scalar network analyzer suitable for laboratory, production, service, and field applications.

The FSC-P3 is particularly valuable for measuring insertion loss, gain, passband response, filter characteristics, cable performance, return path verification, and frequency-dependent attenuation.
