The Rohde & Schwarz FPH-P1 is an internal preamplifier option for the Spectrum Rider FPH handheld spectrum analyzer series. DESCRIPTION:

The Rohde & Schwarz FPH-P1 is a factory-installed preamplifier option developed for the Spectrum Rider FPH handheld spectrum analyzer family. The option enhances receiver sensitivity by reducing the effective noise floor of the instrument, enabling reliable detection and measurement of weak RF signals that may otherwise be obscured by system noise.

When equipped with the preamplifier option, Spectrum Rider analyzers achieve displayed average noise levels (DANL) of typically better than -163 dBm across much of the operating frequency range, significantly improving measurement capability for low-level signals and challenging RF environments.

The FPH-P1 is particularly useful for applications involving interference investigations, wireless network troubleshooting, satellite communications, radar systems, microwave backhaul links, EMC diagnostics, signal intelligence activities, and spectrum monitoring where maximum sensitivity is required. Weak emissions, intermittent signals, and distant transmitters can be identified more effectively when the preamplifier is enabled.
